Manchester United v Leicester City has been selected to open live coverage of the fourth round of the FA Cup.
The defending champions beat Arsenal on penalties in round three, while the Foxes made easy work of champion team Queens Park Rangers.
This is one of the selected fixtures from the fourth round draw at the Emirates Stadium last weekend, as Ruud van Nistelrooy returned to Old Trafford after playing for the club between the release of Erik ten Hag and him briefly this season had overseen the appointment of Ruben Amorim.
The star-studded FA Cup reunion has certainly been selected for live television coverage and that has now been confirmed, with the game set to be shown on ITV1 at 8pm GMT on Friday February 7th.
Last season’s runners-up Manchester City have also been selected for TV coverage as their trip to London to play League One side Leyton Orient will be broadcast on BBC One.
Chelsea faced another Premier League opponent in Brighton. This game will be broadcast on ITV4 on Saturday 8 February with kick-off at 20:00 GMT. The Blues will be back a week later for a league clash at the Amex Stadium.
On Sunday February 9th, current Premier League leaders Liverpool travel to Home Park hoping to avoid an upset against champion club Plymouth Argyle. This game will be broadcast on ITV1 with kick-off at 3:00pm GMT.
Then BBC One’s offering at 5.35pm GMT is Tottenham’s trip to Villa Park to face an Aston Villa side who have already knocked a London side out of the competition when they beat West Ham in round three.
