Arsenal are interested in Norwegian midfielder Sverre Nypan.
The 18-year-old is considered one of Europe’s brightest young talents after making his debut for Rosenborg in 2022 aged just 15.
Nypan was the youngest player ever to represent the club and has since been scouted by several top European teams.
Arsenal are believed to be interested in the teenager and reports from Norway suggest he could be allowed to leave for around £10million.
The Gunners could prove an attractive next destination for Nypan as they are led by fellow Norwegian Martin Odegaard.
Gunners boss Mikel Arteta has also shown his willingness to develop young players this season, namely Ethan Nwaneri and Myles Lewis-Skelly.
Arsenal are looking to reshape their midfield with both Jorginho and Thomas Partey, who are over 30, out of contracts in the summer.
Arsenal are targeting a summer deal for Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Zubimendi, whose current deal contains a £51m release clause.
Nypan is considered a player with great potential and it would be a coup for Arsenal to win the race to sign him.
The club is keen to sign a striker this month after Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Jesus both suffered serious injuries.
Arsenal are long-time admirers of Benjamin Sesko, who they attempted to sign last summer but ultimately signed a new contract with RB Leipzig.
Sesko is expected to move at the end of this season, with a deal for him this month seen as difficult but not impossible.
